3rd Party Planner (Project Support)
Diageo is the world’s leading premium drinks company, a business built on the principles and foundations laid by the giants of our industry. We are a young company born of an incredible entrepreneurial legacy. The success of Guinness®, Smirnoff®, Johnnie Walker®, Tanqueray® and many more brands led to the formation of our company in 1997. And we only thrive today because of the talent of our people to grow our brands, old and new, and keep them strong.
Our purpose, celebrating life, every day, everywhere means that our brands are part of celebrations big and small. We believe that living our purpose in full is to make the most of life - to be the best you can be at work, at home, with friends, in the community, and for the community.
About the Role
One of the key activities for the scheduling team, for a selection of the site portfolio, is the conversion of “interim” products into final “finished” products by external 3rd party contractors.
The 3rd party planner is responsible for instructing the 3rd party contractors in the reworks required to meet customer demand through the creation of process and purchase orders; plus regular communication to deliver the best possible service. You would also be responsible for the recording the completion of orders in the SAP manufacturing system and helping to resolve any invoicing issues that arise.
You will work collaboratively with various key contacts to deliver the 3rd party rework schedule. These include – 3rd party reworkers, line schedulers (for production of interim stock), material planners, project managers, site warehousing and despatch, market service owners.
You’ll provide 3rd party reworkers with sufficient forward visibility to align resource to meet demand. Prioritise, if necessary, when there is a constraint in available interim stock, labour, materials or warehouse capacity.
Ensuring that all 3rd party invoices are cleared for payment by resolving any issues and discrepancies that lead to invoices being blocked.
Ideally you will be educated to degree level in a supply chain or related discipline with equivalent experience.
You will have strong working knowledge of SAP and have the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
You’ll have strong analytical skills, problem solving ability and attention to detail.
A diverse workforce is essential to our success as a multi-national, multi-cultural business. Our aim is to foster a culture that provides opportunities for all, through the variety of different personalities, experiences and perspectives, creating a stimulating and rewarding working environment. By creating a truly inclusive workplace that recognises difference and diversity of thought, feelings and actions, we can allow our people to unleash the power of being themselves, always, to enable them to Celebrate Life, Every Day, Everywhere.
Flexibility is key to success in our business and many of our staff work flexibly in many different ways. Please talk to us about what flexibility means to you and don’t let anything stop you from applying.
