Assistant Buyer - Kids Footwear (6 month FTC)
What you will be doing…
Within this role you will work closely with the Buying Manager throughout the full buying process including the continued development of the full ranges, using your strong commercial acumen with the aim of maximising sales and increasing profit potential. You’ll also oversee fit sessions, the critical path and sample management too, whilst working closely alongside the design and Quality Assurance teams.
You will also be required to negotiate with key suppliers to ensure that the diverse merchandise mix can succeed in a very competitive arena, as well as communicating effectively with the Merchandising colleagues on a daily basis.
Developing and growing Brand relationships is also key, and will offer the opportunity to look after your own brands and how they develop within the company.
What you will bring…
This is a fantastic opportunity for an established Assistant Buyer with strong fashion credentials to join a fast growing part of our business. You must have experience on footwear.
You'll be working with a close knit team and if you show the potential you will be able to buy/take care of your own category within the range.
You will have a fast fashion background and have experience in either private label development or branded buying. You will be trend aware and display strong commercial acumen.
Strong communication, organisational and negotiation skills are essential and experience of managing more junior members of the team is essential.
