What You’ll Be Doing
-Work with all elements of R&D, together with the Technical Project Leader to transform Marketing ideas into robust technical briefs, ultimately delivering excellent product solutions that delight our consumers
-Lead the coordination of all technical elements (e.g. formulation coordination, performance validation, processing, packaging, consumer technical insight, specifications, patents, regulatory, safety) either independently for smaller, less complex projects, or with leadership from the Technical Project Leader on more technically complex projects
-Stakeholder management regarding technical issues/status; balancing and managing different needs and desires
-Work across multiple innovation projects and cross-functional teams in different geographies
-Represent the voice of R&D to the rest of the company, supporting brand growth agendas and category strategy through a strong understanding of the technical product portfolio & funnel, brand context, consumer insights and relevant trends
-Project & technical risk management, ensuring technical action standards are met at key decision point
-Develop new methodologies and tools to help the team become even better in the future
Your Skills And Experiences
A degree (or equivalent) in a Science or Engineering discipline. Some chemistry background would be great; curiosity in the latest innovation and technology is essential.
Previous experience in R&D preferably with project management experience and/or product development experience.
Great people skills; building and maintaining relationships with an ability to be persuasive and assertive when necessary. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a wider cross-functional team.
Proactive problem solver with strong analytical skills and an ability to interpret data to pull out key insights
Excellent presentation and communication skills with an ability to bring technologies and innovations to life in a clear and engaging way
Skilled in analyzing risk and stakeholder management
Passionate about brands and their consumers & a creative thinker
