A fabulous opportunity for a Generalist Indirects Buyer to be part of a brand new team, in an extremely well respected charity who make a difference to the lives of thousands of people every day…
The Commercial and Contracting Team has been newly established to lead and support a wide ranging organisational and cultural change in our approach on procurement and contracting for our commercial contracts.
In this new position the General Indirects Buyer will have a key role in supporting and influencing the implementation of these changes. There is a lot to do, but following a procurement review the organisation is fully supporting a more sophisticated commercial approach on procurement and contracting that is sustainable in the long term.
As commercial specialists, the team will support and influence the procurement and contracting cycle through support, training and guidance – building capacity, skills and knowledge across the organisation. This will not be simply limited to traditional areas of procurement spend, as the team will seek to maximise value for money and efficiency across the organisation. This will mean supporting the national office commercial development teams and grant funding areas on appropriate good practice and advice, as well as developing an offer to our local branches.
This new role will be working with our client’s business owners across the organisation .
This role is offered as an opportunity for a contracts, commercial or procurement professional who is seeking to progress and equip themselves with additional skills and responsibility in their career. Training and involvement across the range of commercial areas covered by the team will be provided whilst working for one of the UK’s most respected and trusted charities. Most important though is your ability to influence stakeholders and manage project work, during this period of change and in the future as the role of the team matures and changes within the organisation.
