You'll be joining a busy department on either a temporary or permanent basis where you will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient administrative support for the Buyership, and enabling it to deliver authoritative and distinctive product ranges that delight our customers - all whilst maximising sales and profit contribution. In addition, a key part of the role is to gather information on competitors and to support other internal departments, Branches and Suppliers by responding accurately and promptly to product related queries.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing the day to day communication with our brands, attending appointments with the opportunity for autonomy and buying responsibility. - Negotiating terms and marketing spend, pulling together creative marketing packages and implementing them In stores and online. - Demonstrating strong commercial awareness of the market place and key competitors - Following appropriate Buying office processes. - Contributing to the Buying offices' ways of working to improve processes where necessary. - Managing sample handling process, ensuring products pass due diligence and quality inspection tests. - Coordinating and monitoring online content, updating information as required. - Monitoring competitors and actions price changes to uphold NKU trading policy. - Understanding and identifying correct stakeholders to influence in order to achieve goals. - Following up with suppliers promptly, answering any queries. - Effectively working with internal stakeholders to implement the creative vision.
We'd love to receive an application from someone with:
- Previous experience working in Buying. - Great organisational skills, with a passion for Buying. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build both internal and external relationships. - Strong commercial awareness and understanding, and somebody who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
