Buying Manager – Food for now Partnerships
About the role
A new role has been created within our food for now team which will be at the forefront of our fresh transformation strategy. You will be responsible for delivering new and exciting propositions within our stores which is imperative to the business strategy of driving partnerships.
This role will involve building great relationships with our suppliers but also creating and actively seeking new partners to deliver a proposition that is truly unique within each store.
This is a very exciting, high profile role which will be different from a core day to day trading role. The role will give you a balance of driving sales and profit, whilst allowing you to stretch your strategic thinking and build relationships with teams across the business.
As a Buying Manager you will build strong collaborative relationships internally and externally developing differentiated propositions in each store to create a real point of difference for our customers. An ability to drive and lead the business through a significant amount of change is imperative for this role.
You'll either be an experienced buyer ready for their next career step or an experienced buying manager ready for a new challenge. It's important you can demonstrate a strong awareness of customer requirements, market trends and competitor ranges and be able to identify strategic opportunities.
Strong negotiation skills is important as you will be managing and influencing a diverse branded supplier base. Stakeholder management and relationship building is pivotal to this role.
