The Central Planning lead will optimize short term capacity within the liquid and solid factories by balancing capacity based on Supply & Demand, cost, customer prioritization, service and stock level targets.
The person in the role, will be the go-to-person when bottlenecks are detected, initiate transfers when needed and be the central contact to correctly allocate raw materials to plants when supply is tight.
You will be responsible for:
Coordinating planning teams in order to maximize supply security towards our customers:
Lead weekly PAC (Planning and control) -planning meetings for all regions
Local planners: finetuning on local planning + transfer possibilities and stock positions for solids
Customer service: on backlog/Front log inside
Product Line Management: on capacity utilization and priority setting
Validate new sales request on 0-3 months horizon and follow up on forecast vs contracts
Coordinating the translation of the masterplan into weekly buckets at plant/machine level:
Follow the fill-rate when orders are coming in, pro-actively adjusting the plan to avoid bottlenecks
Put in place clear process to increase visibility on short term fill rate on a plant/line level, including reporting through BI tools
Critical assessment of capability matrix (maintained by Product Line Management)
Following-up on the Raw Material call-offs towards internal and external suppliers:
Assist in weekly PAC meetings with cocoa to align on short term forecasted volumes and sanity check on short term orders from local sourcing execution
Follow up on position for sustainability raw materials, assure compliance by instructing local sourcing execution when needed in close alignment with local sourcing execution teams
Acting as back-up master planner
Master level or equal through experience
Ideally 2-5-year experience in planning function
Very good analytical skills
Good stakeholder management skills and broad view
Strong analytical skills in combination with desire to use facts and figures
Takes initiative, ownership and is accountable
Good communication, persuasion and documentation skills
Fluent in English, knowledge of French or German is a plus.
