The purpose of the combined Supply chain Team Lead as part of the Supply Chain outbound team is to: Supervise and develop the Supply Chain Planning Team and supervise and develop the Customer Serviceteam East
Represent the Supply Chain Customer Service & Planning in various cross functional meetings Ensure order, entry, contract management, order execution and financial impact is actively monitored and managed Ensure the planning of raw material, production and outbound goods is monitored and carried out effectively. Including raw material and finished product stock control Ensure an optimal delivery performance, taking into account and meeting customer requirement and expectations and the plant possibilities against the lowest possible cost. Quickly respond to exceptions and inform changes to Sofia CBS/CTL transport operations team, Operations and FSQR. Execute and coordinate the whole logistics administration, financial administration, customer documentation for the Hamburg facility and its associated 3rd party provider for refined fats, oils and co-products
Principal accountabilities :
35% Supervise and develop the Supply Chain outbound team, with its Supply Planners, Customer Service representatives and support functions
Day to day coaching and support
Deploy an effective Performance Management and Career Development coordination within the team
Create an integrated team with proper alignment, support and back-up within the team
Ensure high engagement within the team
Ensure proper interaction of the team with the other functions and locations
Set, measure and monitor KPIs for measuring team and individual performance
20% Order entry, processing and program validation
Receive, evaluate orders from customer service and process them into the business systems (planning tools). Prepare loading schedules and communicate to Operations teams and CTL Transport Operations team.
Ensure that the final confirmed customer orders are processed and the loading program is completed to plan and on time.
Deliver daily and weekly loading schedules as basis for plant, gatemen, load out execution, including necessary interfaces, check that they have the right ones.
25% Customer Service Coordination:
Monitor execution of customer demand, total overview of Cargill's performance toward the customer & all customers combined and be a proactive leader in finding opportunities to improve, using customer service indicators (perfect order fulfillment, complaint resolution, OTIF)
Actively lead the team in complex situations, where necessary take over contact with customer
Coordinate Customer Service activities in case of specific supply disruptions
Manage day to day activities of Customer Service Team/ Department:
Responsible for correct contract management & execution in combination with sales. Considering optimizing capacity utilization and customer satisfaction, within agreed service level / cost ratio.
Responsible for timely and correct call off entry aligned with customer requests and agreed contracts. Negotiate flexibility in call-off with customers to optimize execution. Applying the correct contracts to support efficient contract management, costs and flexibility related to raw material market prices.
Responsible for correctly and timely invoicing to ensure payment and accurate accounting systems
Responsible for a timely and accurate interaction/ information flow towards customers regarding delivery program and changes. Validating/minimizing impact for and acceptance by customers of deviations in initial physical distribution program.
10% Financial freight & Logistics cost management
Report on Delivery Performance
Ensure proper administration of freight cost
Monitor financial Freight balances and take corrective actions to ensure proper cost control
Active involvement in monthly review meetings to discuss actual and identify opportunities
Actively participate in creation of annual budget for outbound freight and logistics
10% Project Management and continuous improvement
Actively initiate, participate and support continuous improvement initiatives related to outbound execution
Education – required skills :
Bachelor or professional logistics degree with 5-year experience or equivalent knowledge level by working experience.
