Respond to day-to-day supply chain logistics and operational trade (import and export) issues/inquires.
Develop effective internal controls to ensure site compliance with corporate and Government agency requirements including Classification (Harmonized System Code), Country of Origin, Valuation and other key trade compliance such as special trade agreements.
Executes and ensures compliance to the global trade compliance policy. Create or revise SOPs and Work Instructions as needed
Develop and implement Compliance Improvement Plans, as needed, to address and correct issues identified during corporate compliance assessments.
Develop and manage process for transactional review/audit of all import/export records.
Maintain team relationship with carriers and brokers to resolve broker/freight issues to avoid disruptions in the supply chain.
Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with all departments and affiliates to fully understand the business including its supply chain flows, products, systems, research, materials, applications and other business resources.
Minimum 3 years of experience, with general knowledge of Global Freight Forwarding, customhouse broker operations and customs regimes.
Effective communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical skills and close attention to details.
Proficient knowledge of excel and reporting tools as Business Objects.
Team player and customer oriented.
Fluent in English and Dutch, written and spoken; other languages are an asset.
