Working for Cargill’s European poultry business, which is a leading supplier of food products to retail, foods service and food manufacturing customers, in both European and global markets. The role will be situated at our newly opened Worcester offices and reporting to the Data and Business Intelligence Manager.
The position holder will support the conversion, build and maintenance of master data for each country in Cargill’s European poultry business . The data analyst will promote a consistent quality of master data in the business. The role will work with process teams to convert, build master data and deliver sustainable master data CRUD (Create, Update and Delete) processes.
This role will be responsible for maintaining high quality and standardization of master data in business. Monitor use of tools to maintain and create master data and ensure that data standards are maintained in the delivered SAP system.
Develop and design solutions, pilot and prove the concept, utilising existing and new technology to solve current and future reporting needs and uncover insights that are not readily visible
Proactively work with the business to identify gaps or future needs for business intelligence and manage the portfolio of business intelligence projects
Work with senior business intelligence analysts to prioritize projects, develop timelines for development, and ensure that business needs are supported
Coach and provide training opportunities to the Business Analysts on the use of data/analysis/CRUD process
Ensure the development of change management and continuous improvement to support business throughout the organisation
Ensure that all business lines are supported from a data strategy and that critical knowledge of systems is maintained and developed across the team
Ensure that critical controls and reporting governance, documentation, and process improvements are in place for existing master data
Ensure the governance of master data, developing consistency between master data and usage of CRUD processes in different areas of the business
Utilize full knowledge of master data practises to understand the business and function requirements.
Bachelor's degree or higher
Relevant business experience in a core business area (commercial, operations, supply chain or finance)
Experience with data analysis and reporting
Demonstrated ability to work in team
Demonstrated conceptual, strategic thinking, problem solving, technical and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to problem solve and take partners to understand the business context
Experience with the education and training of others
Strong communication skills
Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, business, management, management information systems (MIS), computer science, or statistical analysis
Advanced degree in a relevant business or technical discipline
Demonstrable ability to understand business needs and identify data patterns, trends and risks
Demonstrable ability to take initiative and operate in ambiguous situations
Knowledge of advanced analysis and visualisation techniques
