My client is a Global electronics energy business based in Reading looking for a demand planner to join their team on a temporary basis.
The key responsibilities for the demand planner based in Reading will be:
Demand planning and management of assigned portfolio, responsible for optimising stock holdings and stock availability in line with customer requirements, while minimising inventory holding costs.
Procuring new stock from suppliers based on forecast projections generated out of the Oracle demand-driven software.
Carrying out data maintenance and management by updating records across all systems including Oracle ERP and ASCP/Demantra software.
Accelerate purchase orders (POs) via the production of daily/monthly value-add inventory reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Working with stakeholders to communicate decisions and supply impact in the planning process. Also, actively seek to improve business processes and make recommendations for efficiencies where appropriate.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate for the demand planner role based in Reading will have the following skill set:
Previous experience of successfully managing inventory, preferably in a similar organisation or industry.
Experienced in the use of forecasting tools and able to carry out analysis of complex data to generate accurate forecasts and order plans, ideally using Oracle eBusiness Suite.
Good theoretical understanding of inventory planning and management principles.
Team player and comfortable dealing with customers and suppliers.
Self-motivated and comfortable taking the lead in issues and managing through to resolution.
