About the Role:
We currently have an opportunity for a category demand planner to join us to cover a period of maternity leave for approximately 12 months. This is a great opportunity if you are looking to develop or broaden your experience in supply chain planning and forecasting working with global brands.
You will be responsible for facilitating the development of a realistic demand plan for one or two key brands across the UK and Ireland business. Working cross functionally you will assume overall responsibility for the demand plan numbers within the core APO DP system, documenting and tracking the assumptions used to populate the plan numbers and challenging where necessary through critique and analysis to ensure realism and accuracy.
Your analytical skills will be key as you utilise database information that you have maintained such as risks v opportunities and historical sales and marketing activities to analyse trends, improve plan accuracy and drive performance and continuous improvement.
As the planning lead for your brand, you will be working closely with various internal stakeholders including sales and marketing, finance, co-packing and customer service teams as well as the wider supply chain team to align baseline and promotional activities to facilitate a realistic, collaborative plan.
Who we are looking for:
To be successful in this role you will have experience within supply chain planning, have strong analytical skills and be able to use Microsoft Excel to an advanced level. You will be educated to degree level and enjoy working with numerical data. You will be comfortable working with various systems and ideally have some experience working with SAP APO and be able to demonstrate an understanding of FMCG supply chain processes.
You will be confident in your approach and have the necessary influencing skills to question and challenge when necessary. Not content with the status quo you’ll strive for excellence, always looking to improve processes and eliminate delays. A proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely as well as strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and strong working relationships quickly are also vital in this role. Above all you will be keen and willing to learn as you look to grow and develop your skills in demand planning.
