In this role you will be responsible for developing an EMEA gas, electricity, CO2 and chemicals view to support hedging, budgeting and longer term projects and support the Gas and Electricity Originators. You will closely connect with the energy analytics COE, third parties and content providers in order to condense “a market view” and deliver necessary market reports or data.
This role will be the main user of the energy/chemicals S&D models and machine learning tools for supporting hedging decisions: actively supporting role during development and user role after implementation. This position will also feed back any opportunities to further improve existing tools or build new ones.
In addition, you will be the data architect for EMEA energy/chemicals related data (metering data, market prices, non-commodity costs etc) and will make sure that any EMEA energy data is stored and accessible for later use.
You will support and follow up natural gas and electricity hedging; run and develop forecasting models and align with internal and external parties on market outlook.
You will provide ‘forward looking’ feedback on chemical commodity market developments to support the chemical category lead and will support diesel and CO2 hedging.
As a data architect, you will collect and lead all relevant energy data: consumption data, regulatory data, data as inputs for models and will make sure data is cleaned, stored, accessible and documented.
Impact on EMEA gas, power,CO2 and chemical prices will be assessed and “secondary markets” like crude oil, coal, LNG, naphta, chlorine, propylene, methanol followed up.
