Description
You will be working in one of the fastest growing and dynamic areas of Sainsbury’s and supporting us in delivering an exceptional digital experience for all our customers. You will support the delivery of our commercial and customer goals through the use of our merchandising tools. As merchandiser you’ll be responsible for product ranging, placement and availability across Sainsbury’s Groceries Online Platform. Through constant review and iteration you will explore new opportunities to drive best in class digital merchandising and availability processes.
What you need to do
- Collaborate with the Trade and Planning teams to ensure that customer, category and supplier priorities are executed to the highest standards via our merchandising tools
- Analyse the performance of your areas, using tools such as Google Analytics and Content Square
- Influence stakeholders around the business to ensure that online deliverables are understood and prioritised
- Review trends on a regular basis to ensure our approach to digital merchandising is optimised and best in class
- Using your expertise of digital merchandising, iteratively improve our processes and ways of working
- Work with the wider Ecommerce team and core category teams to manage ranging across groceries online, including new range launches, key seasonal events and category initiatives
- Responsible for the online relationship with Supply Chain, managing product on and off the website to ensure strong availability and customer satisfaction
- Success will be determined by improving key metrics including; on time ranging, online category participation, image coverage, product availability, picked in full
- Support the Ecommerce managers in the coaching of the Ecommerce Administrators, helping to prioritise their day to day tasks
What you need to know
Essential
- Good commercial and analytical ability
- The ability to manage a range of priorities and to hit deadlines
- Strong and demonstrable use of Excel
- Understanding of external digital trends and how this can shape your role
- Proven ability to prioritise and working with a range of stakeholders
Desirable
- Experience using digital merchandising software e.g. Websphere Commerce
- Experience analysing data via Google analytics
