The Global Category Lead for Logistics is operating in a highly complex, competitive environment. The job holder will influence stakeholders enterprise-wide to become advocates of Procurement through demonstrated delivery and partnerships, securing a competitive advantage for GSK. This role is a member of the Facilities, Capital and Logistics leadership team and is key contributor to Procurement functional strategy and leadership of the function. You will be accountable for developing and implementing sourcing strategies for GSK logistics services across the world and across business units. The role demands strong leadership to drive step change improvement in the way logistics services are sourced; expanding the reach of procurement into untapped areas, and leveraging over £700m of spend to continuously deliver best in class total value.
•Accountable for developing procurement strategies for all global Logistics services, spend > £700 million annually, across 80 sites and commercial facilities, and delivery of procurement savings globally.
•Display leadership behaviours aligned with GSK values to drive a culture of collaboration and engagement across the global organization
•Embed a performance management system including KPI’s to drive mutual collaboration with the regional teams and support the global strategies
•Successfully manage global supplier relationships with key LSP’s (logistic service providers), leveraging on GSK’s End to End Logistics Partner
•Engagement with stakeholders across the E2E supply chain – working collaboratively with all Supply Chain stakeholders within the Global Logistics function.
•Active involvement in development and deployment of the Supply Chain strategies.
•Accountable for delivery of robust market intelligence assessment and act as the business expert for the category in GSK

•Global procurement leader with experience in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare or FMCG Environment.
•Highly developed commercial acumen with demonstrated success in delivering a competitive commercial advantage. .

•Skilled negotiator adept at managing complex negotiations at management level with both external and internal stakeholders
