Not only do they make a difference in the UK, but on a global level. They have ambitious plans for the future and are looking for a Global Sourcing Manager - Indirects to join their newly formed team, and help them reach their goals.
As the Global Sourcing Manager - Indirects you will be responsible for leading and executing transformational strategic sourcing initiatives across a range of Indirect Categories, Professional Services (e.g. Legal, Consulting, Insurance), Business Services (e.g. Recruitment & Temp. Labour, Training, Travel, Facilities Management, Property) and IT (e.g. IT Hardware, Services, Telecoms) . You’ll engage with, and influence, senior leaders to approach commercial decisions more strategically, and in line with donor requirements and value for money criteria; creating and establishing clearly defined targets and outcomes aligned to opportunities to deliver transformational value.
The role holder will be required to engage key stakeholders at a senior level (senior budget holders, regional / country directors, global functional heads) to obtain support and buy-in for key projects and procurement strategies, and secure advocates of Procurement as the role secures credibility through demonstrated delivery and collaboration.
The role holder will also:
Lead and execute global strategic sourcing initiatives
Engage and influence senior leaders to approach commercial decisions more strategically and in line with donor requirements and value for money criteria
Develop a detailed understanding of the organisation’s mission and supply requirements
Ensure stakeholder buy-in across the organisation, and that category strategies are continually aligned to and meets business need
Manage suppliers professionally and proactively to ensure a high level of supplier performance
Across all the Indirects spend areas, take a lead role in ensuring a high service level is provided from Procurement and that the organisation purchases from approved suppliers, pre-negotiated contracts and in compliance with category-defined policies.
Share best practices across all global categories
Actively monitor and communicate category insights and trends
Facilitate post-contract implementation
Create and establish clearly defined targets and outcomes aligned to opportunities to deliver transformational value
Develop opportunities through the supply base to support the mission and commercial ambitions
Build on and develop the supply base to ensure the capacity and flexibility to meet all of the organisations requirements - both in “steady state” and “emergency response” situations
Experience and Skills:
A proven ability to lead and execute strategic sourcing initiatives
Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills both internally (at the Senior Leadership Team level) and externally with suppliers
Proven ability to review procurement demands and trends; to develop strategies to fill identified gaps
Experience within global, multicultural organisations – public, private or charity sector
A proven track record of ensuring value for money
Cultural awareness, proven ability to work effectively with people from different cultures, ideally within emerging markets
