Head of Non-IT Sourcing Purpose:
Advises and supports senior management up to ELT level to effectively and efficiently manage supplier expenditure and relationships to deliver strategic business goals. This is achieved through determining and implementing sourcing strategies, developing and maintaining relationships with vendors, proactively managing supplier risk and providing commercial leadership across all procurement related activities. Basic salary £90,000 to £105,000 + car allowance + benefits + bonus + share options
Act as trusted Sourcing Advisor and Guardian of a portfolio of Services (non-IT spend of circa £250M - Marketing, Professional, HR, FM etc.) suppliers and services by implementing best practice covering commercial management, service delivery, risk management and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with Global Sourcing and business teams to identify and maximise procurement opportunities to the benefit of the firm and ensure alignment of sourcing and vendor strategies.
Engage with senior stakeholders up to ELT member level to understand business requirements and to define and implement the category and vendor strategies, plans and processes for sourcing and on-going management of goods and services within the Services category.
Oversee; govern work with the functions on Supplier & Relationship Management activities for strategic suppliers managed, developing and maintaining long-term relationships between key vendors and the business.
Work with stakeholders to identify service optimisation and value improvement opportunities and lead the implementation of the initiatives to deliver value.
Lead and drive key sourcing activities for major corporate or divisional projects ensuring that they are delivered on time and to budget with appropriate risk management.
Establish and maintain a holistic view across the firm (Europe & Global), identifying opportunities for consolidation of business requirements and managing the integration of stakeholder needs through engagement.
Head of Non-IT Sourcing Requirements:
Educated to degree level
Postgraduate procurement accreditation preferred (MCIPS)
Minimum ten years sourcing experience in complex markets
Proven track record in relevant categories - Marketing, HR, Corporate, Professional, Legal etc., with comparable levels of spend and complexity
Experience in Supplier Relationship Management covering non-performance and development
Experience in Operational & Tactical Buying covering all categories
Proven capability in negotiating complex sourcing deals with many non-price variables
High levels of subject matter expertise, with deep market and vendor knowledge
Demonstrable influencing skills and senior stakeholder management (with credibility up to CxO level)
Excellent team leadership and communication skills
Good procurement transformation experience and change leadership capability
Energy, pace and an impeccable track record of delivery
