Reporting to the Supply Chain and Procurement Director, you will be responsible for a team of 11 and a directs and indirect spend in excess of £200m (wheat and flour is out of scope). The role sits on the Senior Leadership Team within Supply Chain and our Treasury Committee. Key accountabilities include defining and evolving the procurement strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders. And in an inflationary market, managing cost and determining which partnerships to develop will be critical. You will support our continued drive around innovation and quality ensuring we have sound strategies around new ingredients and processes. With your team, you will ensure continuity of supply through strong risk and governance processes and supplier performance management. We have new and ongoing capital spend projects, typically around £30m per annum, ranging from new plants, to technology and product development, and you will bring your expertise to ensure we find the best procurement solutions. And of course, you will lead, develop, coach and motivate your team.
This is a 12 month either fixed term contract or day rate contractor role. We are taking time to review our existing structure and direction and may look to structure things slightly differently in the future.
