Within our M&S Clothing & Home function our Merchandising teams are ultimately accountable for stock and the flow of stock from supplier to customer. However, the reality is that day to day accountabilities to flow stock in line with sales is fragmented across Buying, Merchandising, Sourcing Offices, Logistics Freight, and Logistics Network Operations as well as the Inbound Management team.
We now have an opportunity for an Inbound Assistant Manager to join our Inbound team. This team are accountable for delivering better visibility, minimising the commercial impact of delays and facilitating improvements in the flow of all our stock.
In this role your key responsibilities, amongst others, will include:
To succeed in this role you will need to have a good understanding of the fundamentals of Supply Chain Planning (forecasting, planning, logistics operations, sourcing) and Freight and Logistics operations as well as how the Clothing & Home critical paths for new product launches and Buying and Merchandising processes work. You will be able to use Excel reports to interpret and analyse data, identifying trends, risks and opportunities to pull together a Data story that you can present to your Key Stakeholders, ideally you will also be familiar with Power BI but this is not essential. You will be a great communicator, enjoy working as part of a team and able to build and develop strong stakeholder relationships.
