Interim Sourcing Expert opportunity; you will need category experience across a number of key non-IT (indirects) spend areas; particularly Professional Services, HR and Marketing, the more the merrier.
This role is with a major name global organisation; and you must have worked for a number of major blue chip organisations and be truly able to ‘hit the ground running’. This role will cover the UK and EMEA, looking at full end-to-end procurement life cycle. Interim Sourcing Expert key activities:
Engage with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and to define and implement the category strategies, plans and processes for sourcing goods and services within relevant categories.
Act as a trusted "Sourcing Advisor", helping to formulate sourcing strategies which support the business goals and assisting with any strategic decision making that requires procurement input.
Lead and drive key sourcing activities for major corporate or divisional projects ensuring that they are delivered on time and to budget with appropriate risk management.
Educated to degree level
MCIPS or equivalent
Be able to commute to central West London on a daily basis
A number of years sourcing experience in complex markets, preferably in the Financial Services sector
Proven track record in relevant categories, with comparable levels of spend and complexity (Marketing, Professional Services, HR)
Proven capability in negotiating complex sourcing deals with many non-price variables
High levels of subject matter expertise, with deep market and supplier knowledge
Demonstrable influencing skills and senior stakeholder management (with credibility up to C level)
