Reporting to the Production & Logistics Scheduling Manager, the Loading Supervisor oversees the efficient unloading and loading of liquid raw materials and liquid finished products in 3 different buildings of the Mouscron plant according to Cargill’s Food Safety and Quality standards and in conformance with the requirements of our customers. Responsible for a part of the production/supply chain process, the person taking this position, will manage 10 operators in order to ensure productivity targets.
You will be responsible for:
Liquid loading/unloading Management
Planning, coordinating and monitoring receiving and shipping operations.
Keeping stock control systems up to date
Collaborating closely with production, scheduling and supply chain teams to improve processes (optimization) which will have a positive impact to reduced costs
Food safety, environmental health and safety
Executing and championing our standards of health, safety and hygiene in the work environment. Participating actively in the safety culture continuous improvement
Managing the non-conform products accordingly to the defined procedures
Responsible for the housekeeping of the different areas
Planning team work schedule, assigning tasks appropriately and appraising results
Coaching, encouraging and motivating workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
Organising the training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
Preparing all documents necessary for a good workflow
Producing reports and statistics regularly
Bachelor degree or equivalent by experience
Strong rigor and solid organizational capacity
Reactivity, adaptability and flexibility
Logical, consistent and common sense
Ability to listen and understand the different departments requirements
Ability to multi task, prioritize and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment
Languages: fluent French speaker + good knowledge of English
Hands-on mentality and voluntary to work daily “on the floor”.
People management skills, including the ability to lead and motivate others, delegate work and explain ideas
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
Knowledge of Dutch is an added value
Proven experience in managing a small team is preferred
Experience as foreman, preferably in food or pharma industry is ideal
