An interesting opportunity has arisen in the Turbines Facility for an Energy, Defence and Marine (EDM) Process Manufacturing Engineer within the Machining Facility team in Bristol, Filton.
The Turbines Supply Chain Unit is responsible for the design and integration of Turbines sub-systems for Civil, Defence, Marine and Energy applications, as well as for the delivery of Turbines commodities to Customer cost and Quality requirements through an integrated supply chain.

Create and modify component programs for current and future engine projects
Be actively involved in process based continuous improvement activities, either by leading activities or supporting those required by other members of the team
Be responsible for helping design and develop tooling, fixtures and consumables required by the manufacturing process
Validate new machines and equipment to help deliver the increasing rate and demand requirements.
Facilitate work across a number of Rolls-Royce sites and suppliers based in the UK, with potential to undertake travel outside the UK for short periods of time
Skills and Qualifications:
Qualified to HNC level in an Engineering subject or equivalent with commensurate experience
Strong track record within a manufacturing organisation including knowledge and experience of product introduction, continuous improvement or capability acquisition and advanced machining processes
Knowledge of CAD/CAM is essential (NX and post-processing software preferable)
Passion to succeed and a vision of how modern manufacturing should be achieved
Computer literate and able to communicate effectively at all levels on technical issues
Base knowledge of current manufacturing processes for aerospace components, advanced technology, inspection practices and aptitude to learn rapidly
