We are seeking a Material Planner to join the Havant team, reporting into Supply Chain Manager and indirectly to the Process Focus Team Manager.
Your key deliverables:
Planning, releasing, scheduling, expediting and monitoring materials required for production
Managing daily inventory and supplier schedules
Analysing, coordinating and communicating detailed production planning material requirements.
Making decisions, applying concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolving issues through immediate action or short-term planning
Additional duties and include:
Managing current and future demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities to ensure completion of customer requirements
Ensuring planning data parameters of items (order policies, safety stock level, make/buy, lead-times for manufactured parts)
Ensuring required documentation and/or system transactions are executed to allocate, purchase, internally manufacture or reschedule material as required.
Balancing current and future demand requirements
Expediting material, where required to meet shortfall between current plan and customer order requirements
Maintaining the accuracy and validity of the data in the ERP system. Prepare reports as required to facilitate and recommend actions that ensures optimal supply chain execution
Analysing data to determine opportunities to decrease inventory, improve customer service levels and reduce total costs
Managing material cost and schedule
Ensuring Work Orders, Repetitive Schedules and KanBan’s are controlled and released at a set production level
Do you have?
APICS CPIM Certification (preferable not essential)
Manufacturing industry experience
Experience and knowledge of ERP MRP systems (preferably MFG Pro)
Material scheduling experience, ideally with Six Sigma skills and knowledge
Production and inventory management experience
MS Office proficiency
