As a Materials Planner, you will be responsible for material planning using a Material Resource Planning (MRP) program as part of a Windows based business system to ensure the availability of material for the manufacture of the company’s products.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to build a cross functional stakeholder network and develop your career within the function.
Your main responsibilities as a Materials Planner will involve:
Ensuring Work Orders are serialised where required
Reviewing, monitoring and clearing job material shortages
Reviewing and processing MRP exception messages
Liaising with Procurement, Inward Goods, Stores and the Shop Floor
Performing the Inter Org transfer of material
Managing work order closures
Controlling of material issued to vendors
Maintaining tracking of work orders through the Shop Floor
Managing batch size of work orders
Managing rework order release and internal allocation
Monitoring Return To Vendor material (RTV)
Your skills and qualifications as a Materials Planner:
IT Literate - MS Office packages
Previous experience within a supply chain planning/Logistics discipline
Experience of material management in a warehouse/stock control environment
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
