You will lead and inspire a team of Merchandise Controllers to deliver the effective management, flow and replenishment of stock within agreed parameters. A key part of the role is to maximise availability, achieve the sales and profit plan, optimize working capital and minimise wastage.
In this role you will work collaboratively with the Merchandiser / Buyer to create category business plans and commercial assortments that meet agreed targets.
This is an extremely demanding role in a fast paced and pressurised environment that requires the ability to work to deadlines, prioritise and multi-task. Effective communication is essential in this role, requiring relationships to be built and maintained across many directorates and external stakeholders.
Time management and the ability to multi-task are key to the role on a daily basis as well as working well within a team. The ability to make clear and concise decisions is essential when dealing with unexpected scenarios at key times throughout the year.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications
- GCSE or equivalent in English & Maths - Assistant Merchandiser experience or equivalent - Controller experience or equivalent - A strong communicator and influencer withexperience in managing relationships withsuppliers or customers - Commercial awareness of the market place,key competitors and customer behaviour - Proven computer skills including Excel
