To operationally lead and coordinate a group of Network Operators enabling that on a daily basis the Customer´s European FCL or LCL network into Customer European USA production plants /EDCs/ODCs is operational executed by achieving highest standards and meeting commercial KPIs (Time-Window Performance, Cost-weighted Vehicle Utilization and Total Logistics Cost Management).
To act as the deputy of the Control Tower Manager.
Responsible for daily transportation capacity booking with Customer carriers and full end to end responsibility of the FCL or LCL European network including Freight confirmation on behalf of Customer Company.
Identify, recommend and support change opportunities for plant / EDC based activities. Manage the teams output and ensure that this drives to and compliments the overall strategy and business objectives.
Manage the implementation of a re-engineered network solution without affecting production and ensuring KPI’s benefit from solution implemented.
Provide single point of operational contact between LLP and Customer Plant Supervisors & MP&L/SCM
Ensure that operation is delivered according to associated ISO 9002 documentation, identify and manage the implementation of process changes.
Able to efficiently handle the escalation process within the LLP.
Operational and disciplinary responsibility over the team of Network Operators, ensuring balanced and efficient workload distribution, being the key contact for issue resolution in both operational and Human Resourcing matters.
Lead AETC investigation / 8D requests related to FTL Route Management Process
Requirement for the Job
A minimum of 1 year experience in transport & logistics environment desirable, preferably within the automotive sector / supply chain management.
Lead of a team previously.
Knowledge of Ocean Transport sector.
Requires strong cultural awareness / interface skills
Oracle Transport Management Knowledge OTM (An advantage)
