The Operations director will lead the Pharm Distribution Network (EDN team) . The EDN team oversees the European distribution activities of Janssen and Diabetes care products from the source plants, over the distribution centers (Beerse and La Louviere) till the deployment to local DC’s and customers.
This team consist of approx. 300 people, supports approx. 8bUSD/y of commercial sales, delivered to more than 60.000 “ship to” addresses all over the world. Main activities are distribution of commercial and clinical products – covering Pharmaceuticals (including Narcotics and Clinical) products and Diabetes care products. The activities support ambient, cold chain and Frozen distribution channels.
The EDN Director is in charge of all activities inside the DC and the EDN teams, as well as the service towards its customers. He/She will work with internal/external stakeholders keep service levels and key metrics towards customers at a constant high level and to resolve any issues coming up.
Reflecting on the distribution activities as a key step in the broader Pharm value chain and adapting the distribution strategy and operations in function of the value stream and business requirements will be key to remain a high performing organization. The EDN Director will translates Business & CLS strategies into operational strategies, sets up a management structure for daily operation, periodically evaluates the results/performance of the operations and the different players (based on a set of KPI’s) and identifies and initiates cost & service improvement opportunities. He/she uses and stimulates an active Credo culture on the site.
