The Plant Superintendent will manage company assets, plant employees, and contractors within all applicable laws and procedures while meeting or exceeding location, business unit and corporate objectives.
You will provide leadership, technical knowledge and operational experience toward achieving safety performance, costs, operating efficiencies, quality products, engaged, high performing employees, and providing service to customers equal to, or better than the best in our industry.
Availability: 24 hours a day throughout the year.
Anticipate on, recognize and take action for events/ situations that could adversely affect production efficiencies and/ or safety performance;
Actively participate in the quality improvement process and apply the principles of continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility;
Provide a safe working environment through safety training, sound house-keeping practice and sustain mechanically safe machinery conforming to Cargill standards;
Manage risk/loss potential to personnel, equipment, and plant operations (production).
30% Manufacturing Excellence
Make an annual plan for the plant, set goals and priorities;
Maintain plant records by designing of forms, their collecting and filing;
Prepare capital commitments with responsibility for project work, and/ or project overview completion;
Plan and install capital improvements as required from time to time;
Responsible for execution of projects;
Energy management and performance responsibilities.
30% People Management
Maintain employee morale, productive workforce, and Business Unit/Company expectations;
Participate in the selection of employees; plan for future needs; work to fill vacancies;
Prepare and manage the operational budget.

Assure required functions are performed in a timely, accurate and safe manner and according to policies and procedures;

5-7 years industrial processing experience or proven capability to work on this level;
Proactive, can anticipate on situations of various origin;

Negotiation skills, emphases on conflict management/ win-win situations.
