Position Purpose & Summary:
This position is responsible for the ongoing optimization and continuous improvement in the Operations area (Plant Operations, FSQR, Warehousing, Maintenance & Reliability) within Cargill Texturizing Solutions, much of which is enabled by the SAP solution. The primary focus is on leading value realization projects and process improvements, which involves process, people/behaviors, roles/responsibilities, culture, strategy, and systems/data in the Plant Operations area. This is done thorugh collaboration within CTS, with our value chain partner businesses (SSE, CTS Americas and APAC, other Cargill businesses, etc), with Global IT, through leveraging best practices with other businesses, and through bringing the outside in.
50% Identify, lead, and drive optimization/continuous improvement activities, especially in the Plant Operations area, to drive value and process consistency, collaborating with subject matter experts and leadership across the business. Continous improvement activities will be defined and prioritized on an ongoing basis. As many BPO team projects are cross-functional and based on business impact, it’s expected to work on efforts outside of immediate area as needed.
20% Ensure organizational readiness and commitment to ongoing optimization, value realization acitivites, and enhancements.
10% After super-users, next point of escalation for assistance related to overall SAP functionality in the Plant Operations space.
5% Lead ongoing enhancements, upgrades, and deployment activities, system intergration from potential M&A activity, and organic growth projects. Ensure functionality is appropriately tested and trained.
5% Implement, maintain, and communicate metrics to track value captured through optimization initiatives and to ensure the sustainment and performance of the Plant Operations process areas. Drive continuous improvement and creation/execution of action plans where metrics indicate need.
5% Communicate frequently with leadership to inform on project status, align on resource needs, and prioritize projects.
5% Other responsibilities as identified.
Ability to travel up to 40% of time
Minimum Required Qualifications
7+ years of business experience and/or IT
Previous experience working in the Plant Operations space
Demonstrated experience leading project work and change management initiatives
Experience with SAP and/or BI reporting
Strong analytical skills; capable of breaking down complex issues and identifying key drivers; can identify cross process upstream and downstream impacts
Proven ability to collaborate, lead, coach, facilitate, and communicate with individuals across a broad range of education, experience, and functional spectrums.
Experience working in a Cargill SAP instance
Demonstrated experience leading project work in large scale projects
Lean Six Sigma certified
Project management experience
Knowledge of CTS value chain and work processes
Very strong ability and appetite to learn and apply new concepts.
