Our EMEA Power Quality Division is looking of a Procurement Engineer to join our Continuous Improvement Team in Le Lieu (Switzerland), who will :
Leads supply chain activities for New Product Implementation (NPI) projects in Le Lieu by collaborating with project team, providing optimal solutions, driving cost optimization, selecting key strategic suppliers according to Commoditiy Manager recommendations and ensure project’s objective in term of quality, cost and timing.
Leads supply chain activities for Standard Transition Projects (STP) managed from Le Lieu for Power Quality Division by collaborating with project team, providing optimal solutions, driving cost optimization, selecting key strategic suppliers according to Commoditiy Manager recommendations and ensure project’s objective in term of quality, cost and timing
Carries the responsibility for Material costs (spend) on a product/bill of material level
Ensure the purchasing activity transfer between project team (NPI/STP) and the Purchasing team of the manufacturing location defined within Power Quality Division sites.
Support Divisional Total Cost Out (TCO) Project Manager for the Site Value Analysis and Value Engineering projects. Ensure the site compliancy to the Supply Chain Policies.
Your Key Deliverables:
Serves as the primary link between Divisional Total Cost Out (TCO) Project Manager and Le Lieu departments (in particular Engineering, Product development, Industrialization, Operation).
Oversees team coordination in new product implementation (NPI) projects and STP projects with close collaboration with Total Cost Out (TCO) Project managers or Category Managers and defines the timeline for optimal supplier involvement in the development process. PROLaunch utilization is essential for all appropriate projects. Lead Work Package Approval process for the procurement / supply chain tasks.
Monitors and steers purchasing relevant milestones during NPI and STP programs. Monitors compliance with the Supplier and Material Strategy (SMS) in new product development initiatives.
Develop a supplier base for the prototyping phase of the new product development.
Manage indirect purchases for the site
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Purchasing or Supply chain
Minimum 5 years' experience in Procurement engineering and product cost out management in an international environement or multi-location sites.
Engineering experience in electromechanical sector is an advantage.
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is a must, fluency in French would be a plus
Project management skills (ProLaunch preferred).
Desktop Analytics (MS Excel and PowerPoint skills are a necessity).
Change management skills.
Supply chain and Material management skills.
ERP Skills (ideally SAP or Oracle)
Demonstrated strong ability to work with teams of diverse cultural backgrounds.
Must be able to take a leading role in driving change in the organization.
Must demonstrate a bias for action and implementation and be able to manage multiple tasks
