The role will be responsible for the delivery of key Procurement targets such as portfolio value optimization, transactional risk reduction, business relationship management, etc. Spend directly managed by the candidate will be around Euro 130 Million.
Global MBS Portfolio Manager & Business Partner to Ice Cream Out-Of-Home Customer Development, responsible for
Ice Cream Cabinets Portfolio, including add-ons like baskets, light boxes, etc
Responsible for the procurement of Ice Cream Cabinets (freezers) around the world.
Understand Unilever’s requirements for the portfolio.
Understand the global supply markets for the portfolio.
Develop and implement global supply strategies for the portfolio.
Negotiate deals with the portfolio’s suppliers.
Manage alliances / relationships with key portfolio suppliers.
Work closely with stakeholders and other support functions developing the sourcing capability/ global supply base for the portfolio.
Closely collaborate with stakeholders to drive innovation and value engineering for Ice Cream Cabinets
Supplier selection, cost optimization, safe and environmentally sustainable sourcing are the most critical decisions that this role-holder will lead.
Working environment of role: Global.
The role-holder will be managing the procurement aspects of the Ice Cream Cabinets Portfolio.
Spend impact: Estimated as € 130 million annual spend directly impacted.
The role-holder will be responsible for the Ice Cream Cabinets deal-making. The role-holder will have responsibility for complex multi-party contract negotiations involving complex risk/ reward arrangements. The types of deals themselves will be complex and may include joint development and joint capability building.
The role-holder will need to manage many, diverse stakeholders and project team members to SVP level and will lead from Procurement stand-point cost reduction programs with key global suppliers.
The role-holder will need to build capability to source innovative new assets (cabinets) and services globally.
The role-holder will need to be able to cope with many new business requirements for cabinets.
The role-holder will be responsible for leading / coaching remotely a Team consisting of 3 FTE’s.
Minimum desired education level: Degree required.
Minimum of 3-5 years international experience in strategic sourcing for direct or indirect procurement categories. Total working experience: 6-10 years.
Fluency in English is a must. Second or third languages would be an asset.
Experience in ice-cream the Ice-Cream or Food Solutions would be an asset.
Professional skills required:
Strong professional Procurement skills including: supply market intelligence and analysis, supply strategy development and implementation, managing alliances and business relationships, managing stakeholders, effective communication and negotiation.
Strong technical understanding.
Highly skilled at contract negotiations.
Project management skills, business process experience and technical background (engineering bachelor) will be a key advantage.
Self-starter with strong Bias for Action, Accountability & Responsibility and Growth Mindset.
Work independently and virtually.
Lead both processes and people across a broad and diverse geographic and business environment.
