Would you like to work in a role supporting the CR2 LEP Procurement Manager within the Land sector? We currently have a vacancy for a Procurement Professional at our site in Telford.
As a Procurement Professional, you will be implementing the agreed procurement strategies and following up specific procurement-identified CR2 LEP opportunities, whilst adhering to governance protocols and working with key stakeholders in the business.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in a fast pace environment with a every varied role.
Your main responsibilities as a Procurement Professional will involve:
Supporting the supplier sourcing and selection process
Assisting the implementation of appropriate pricing strategies and assist in the negotiation of value for money solutions for the business
Placing commitment onto the supply base and order management including management of shortages and resolution/escalation of clashes in priority in recognition of changing need dates
Supporting and/or leading supplier reviews
Managing the supplier and internal functions obligations and dependencies, where they impact the supplier, for example first article inspections, invoice queries preventing delivery, legal and export documentation execution etc
Managing supplier performance and provide metrics to support the business
Ensuring pricing is accurately loaded and maintained on SAP PIR’s (Purchase Info Records) and in particular the validity of these prices, lead-times, etc.
Ensuring IN’s (Incident Notifications) with returns PO’s are actioned in a timely manner with least disruption, and ensuring any liabilities are contained by the vendor
Maintaining accurate SAP master data both static and dynamic, and ensure schedule adherence, resolving discrepancies in quantity or data
Your skills and qualifications:
Previous experience within procurement
Logical thinking/problem solving skills
Strong communication skills
Willingness/openness to learn project management
Experience with the Microsoft package
