Would you like to work closely with Sub-contractors and other departments, involved closely with the build delivery project teams in a growing and dynamic team with room to grow and develop? We currently have a vacancy for a Procurement Professional that will be part of the Dreadnought Onsite Services contracting team.
This position will be based in our Barrow site and will be part of the team that develops and manages sub-contracts for the provision of on-site services supporting the Submarine build programme. Such services typically cover Blasting and Spray services, In-situ machining services, Insulation services amongst others.
Your main responsibilities as a Procurement Professional:
Work with internal stakeholders cross function / within an IPT to understand on –site services demand in support of Submarine build delivery
Work with stakeholders and Suppliers supporting the development and agreement of sub-contracts for On-site services.
Contract administration and management of supplier performance. Support associated contract spend and forecast reporting.
Use and update of relevant procurement systems and processes to ensure the effective delivery of activities in assigned areas.
Support team members to self-verify work to ensure adherence to relevant business systems procedures, policies and processes. Provide guidance to enable the team to produce right first time information.
Develop, maintain and manage key relationships both internally and externally. Lead team members to promote effective cross functional collaboration and deliver procurement support and guidance to other functions as required.
Contribute knowledge and experience to support Continuous Improvement and Learning from Experience activity across the Supply Chain function.
Your skills and qualifications as Procurement Professional:
Procurement experience, drafting & agreeing/supporting sub-contract placement
Previous experience of collaboration across wider business teams delivering success
Managing and overseeing Suppliers performance and resolving issues
Relevant IT/ERP knowledge
Procurement & financial reporting awareness/experience
