This major company is seeking an ambitious, dynamic and motivated Procurement professional to join their UK team, based in West Sussex. There is also the option of some home working and to work regularly from their East Sussex office, if required.
You will join the organisation as a Senior Supply Chain Specialist / Category Manager, working within their Customer Services & Energy Management Procurement function where you will be guided by a supportive, innovative, inspired and flexible manager.
Ambition and dynamism will be integral to your success within this role and company, so you will need to be an ambitious and passionate Procurement Specialist / Category Manager who is able to engage with stakeholders at all levels; you will need the ability to add value and have a strong understanding of key contractual clauses.
There are some team management responsibilities in this role, so you should have experience in either managing a team of people or have indirectly lead or mentored people in the past; and looking to take this to the next level.
A blue chip industry background would be an advantage for this role but not essential, and spend experience is less important than your focus, passion and evidence of value added achievement. The role has responsibility for a number of areas of spend, such as IT, HR, Marketing, etc; so opportunities to gain a variety of commodity experience and develop your career are excellent.
