About the Role:
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced FMCG Production Planning and Scheduling Manager to join us at our site in Alfreton
In this key role you will be responsible for leading the planning and scheduling functions, working closely with the production operational managers onsite, supply chain and central planning teams to ensure the efficient utilisation of factory capacity whilst providing the optimal level of service and quality standards.
With overall responsibility for the stock and availability of raw materials, packing, semi-finished goods and finished products, you will manage suppliers in line with agreed service levels, building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders alike.
A member of the site senior leadership team, you will be key in leading and driving change as the Alfreton factory continues on its journey of integration with the wider Ferrero business and ways of working following the acquisition from Thorntons.
A natural leader you will have excellent people management skills – engaging, inspiring, motivating and empowering your team to achieve. You will have experience of change management and will take a collaborative and inclusive approach.
Who we are looking for:
To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record of leading and managing the production planning and scheduling function within a complex batch manufacturing FMCG organisation delivering a wide variety of products. You will have excellent systems knowledge, ideally SAP and amazing analytical skills. You will be able to demonstrate that you possess a long term strategic mind set and take pro-active approach as well as an understanding of operational challenges and the need to react. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to work cross functionally and at times across geographical areas.
