We’re looking for an ambitious analyst to join our profitable sales team and support the clearance of delisted stock across Co-op stores. If you have what it takes to influence and challenge key business decisions using data and insight, you’ll have a fantastic opportunity to develop your profile whilst delivering huge savings for our business.
In this role, we’ll look to you to work closely with people across commercial and supply chain teams to manage the clearance of promotional and seasonal stock, whilst making sure we maximise profitability. It’ll be up to you to analyse lots of data to keep track of product performance and identify what products or areas need further support.
What you’ll do:
•manage the clearance of non-ranged stock following planned range changes
•confidently communicate and engage with colleagues throughout the business to ensure a joined up approach with stock exit solutions
•work collaboratively with buyers, wider customer availability and depot teams to agree plans
•analyse data from a wide range of sources, including; commercial, financial, volume and stock holding data
•create, maintain and manage stock exit events in line with range review, promotions, and seasonal range plans
•use data analysis to provide actionable insight, working with teams across supply chain, commercial and operations to develop and deploy profitable stock exit strategies
•continually monitor performance against the strategy and budget, flagging risks and opportunities for improvement
This role would suit people who have:
•excellent relationship building and influencing skills
•the confidence to challenge decisions when needed
•data analysis experience, and the ability to really draw out key insight and tell a story with complex data sets
•a keen eye for detail and spotting trends
•intermediate to advanced excel skills (experience with writing formulae and creating pivot tables)
•great communication skills and the ability to present data in a clear way to different audiences
•experience in a fast paced working environment, delivering to strict timescales and targets
