Due to promotions and maternity leave, we are currently looking for 3 Buyers (2 permanent, 1 9month FTC) to join our Siemens Mobility Customer Services Project Procurement team in Northampton. The Procurement department’s mission is to ensure that procurement processes covering planning, sourcing and project management are robustly applied to our business for both existing train fleets and new bids/projects in order to reduce cost and manage risk. Spend with third party suppliers is typically between 50-60% of the business turnover.
As a Project Buyer, you will play a major role in ensuring that the UK’s rail network provides the best possible services to passengers. You will support the delivery of our train maintenance projects across the UK through the management of supplier performance. Cross-functional collaboration and communication are key to ensuring that we have a joined-up approach.
