Reporting to the EMEA Projects Logistics Manager this is an excellent opportunity for experienced logistics specialists to join a successful and growing global company. With a team of 2 in support, the position is responsible for the successful execution of Project Logistics strategies on new plant asset projects in Europe, Africa, the Middle East. The incumbent is charged with supporting the developing, negotiating, implementing and maintaining competitively advantageous supply agreements. They will interface primarily with the Engineering, Procurement and Project Execution teams within our Global Engineering Business, supporting new plant build proposals and projects
The successful applicant will be required to have intimate knowledge of the shipping markets, practices and standards. This position supports supplier/contractor relationship management to ensure alignment with operations and business strategies. As such, the role holder will be confident in challenging technical specifications, commercial practices, operating practices and business processes with a focus on driving cost-effective operations. Strong Project Logistics knowledge, project, planning and negotiating skills are required.
Travel will be required at times for this position, primarily, but not restricted to, within the EMEA region supporting logistics/operating sites, supplier, partner & client visits. We estimate that the role holder will travel up to 5 times a year for periods of up to a week.
The role is based at our Hersham site in Surry. Start time is flexible between 08.00 and 09.00 and there will be a core 37.5 hour week. Due to the nature of the role there should be some flexibility in terms of picking up urgent requirements outside of standard operating hours when the demands of the business mean this is absolutely necessary.
