To support our customers in the continuous operation of ASML machines in their chip production fabs, ASML keeps spare parts and tools in warehouses close to our customers. In total we have around 60 of these local warehouses globally. These warehousesare outsourced to Logistics Service Providers (3PLs).
The Warehousing team is tasked to make sure the warehouses are ready to support our customers in the most efficient way, which means that all facilities are fit for purpose, with enough space, sufficient skilled manpower, using the standard way of working, and beneficial commercial agreements. To enable further efficiencies in the warehouse operations, we are enabling 3PL’s to implement a Warehouse Management System (WMS) that will connect to ASML’s ERP system.
The growing number of ASML machines at our customers requires us to set up new warehouses or expand or relocate existing warehouses. It will be your responsibility to translate the business requirements into warehouse requirements, manage the infrastructure projects successfully to completion and hand over the warehouse to the local Operations team. Time, money and (internal) customer satisfaction will be your main drivers.
Next to this, you will lead the deployment of the WMS in our Warehouses. As Deployment Lead you will have the responsibility to ensure a successful WMS implementation by managing all required preparations prior to and during implementation, including informing and involving our stakeholders together with the WMS project team.
