Formulates, implements and maintains sound purchasing policies and procedures.
Leads relationships with potential and existing suppliers and negotiates supply prices and delivery arrangements
Ensures compliance with company's control standards.
Leads the purchasing team, assesses their performance and contributes in their continuous development
Coordinates an effective inventory policy with the plant and the logistics department and ensures its application
Evaluates, implements and adapts the purchasing systems and tools for effective transactions and for performance and results monitoring.
The position reports to the Supply Chain Manager.
Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
Results-oriented personality with excellent team leadership skills.
Guided by a set of core values and beliefs to act with integrity and honesty
University degree preferably in Business Administration - a postgraduate degree will be considered an asset.
At least 5 years of purchasing experience preferably within a large-scale organization.
Knowledge of financial and legal issues will be preferred.
Excellent command of the English language and PC literacy.
