Quality Controller – Trains and Modernisation UK and Ireland
Supporting the T&M Parts organisation initially at Preston, migrating full time to Widnes. The business is responsible for the overhaul, repair, and modification of a vast range of rolling stock, including the Pendolino re-spray project. The role will also include infrequent travel to 3rd party suppliers nationwide.
Reporting to the Industrial Quality Manager, you will be responsible for a wide range of activities which can be broadly described as ‘total quality’, ensuring the products and services meet the highest possible standard and adhere to standard. Active monitoring, auditing, continuous improvement, and engagement, are required to provide assurance and development of the Quality Management System and strive for customer satisfaction. As part of the role, there will be a required level of support to product safety, and raising awareness of product safety, human factors, and improving the Quality/Safety culture.
Produce monthly Pareto Analysis monitors regarding supplier performance
• Monthly defect analysis reports for the product cell managers
• Compliance to the internal Audit Plan
Looking for a dynamic, self-driven, individual with a predominantly Quality background, who can communicate across different levels of the Organisation, from operators, office staff, and management; with an ability to build effective working relationships. An academic qualification (ONC/HNC/HND/or equivalent) is highly desirable, but not essential if suitably experienced.
