We’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Supply Chain Technology department, where we’re working on some really exciting developments within our Global distribution and fulfilment programme.
You’ll be a part of the amazing team that has underpinned ASOS’s incredible success over the last 17 years by providing an accurate view of our amazing product range, supporting fulfilment from our various warehouses and enabling one of the quickest and greatest customer experiences in the world.
You will be based in our incredible office in Camden but may be required to travel to our international locations to support the Supply Chain Technology team there. No two days are ever the same…
What you’ll be doing:
Work with stakeholders across the entire business to analyse and document future proposals, working to influence the best outcome which aligns with business strategies
Elicit, validate and manage business requirements – both functional and non-functional – ensuring high quality deliverables at every stage in the process
Work closely with Platform Leads, Agile Delivery Managers, Development teams and Project Managers within the Supply Chain Technology Domain and where relevant across the rest of Technology to understand how business priorities and dependencies affect and influence your scope of work
Challenge the business assumptions so that the delivered solutions meet both current and future needs
Be responsible for the quality of Business Analysis across the business area and support the BAs to strive to constantly improve Business Analysis practice. This includes line management and coaching of junior BAs within the platform
Potentially using different methodologies whilst helping to shape the people, processes and systems that will allow ASOS to achieve its strategic goals
Be part of a project team collaborating across a series of critical transformation programmes, ensuring that deliverables are aligned to valid, verified, prioritised requirements, underpinned by robust, logical, maintainable processes
Work closely with the internal Development teams to help shape their backlog of work through drafting of user stories and COAs to ensure delivery of high quality solutions
Take ownership of product related queries and facilitating estimation of backlog items whilst ensuring they meet an agreed definition of ready state
Work with the project teams and stakeholders to determine scope and help plan sprints to ensure we deliver great features for our users
Be an active member of our lively BA Community
We’d like to meet someone with:
Experience of being a Senior Business Analyst in a Technology department
A high level of exposure to Supply Chain systems and preferred experience in Logistics.
Great multitasking skills and a desire to grow and develop our Stock, Distribution and Fulfilment capabilities
Experience across the full project lifecycle in both structured and agile environments
Experience managing Senior Technology and Business stakeholders
Ability to manage and direct the work of others, either through managing more junior members of staff or supplier teams
Business process modelling (preferably BPMN) and management skills
Experience of line managing and coaching is desirable
