Would you like to influence and drive continual improvements within the logistics function? We currently have a vacancy for a Supply Chain Senior Co-Ordinator) at our site in Barrow.
As a Supply Chain Senior Co-Ordinator you will be working alongside other Logistics Operatives within the wider Logistics team servicing our customers. You will work closely with the Logistics Team Leader within the DDH & PPF.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in an interesting role because of the ability to contribute to the manufacturing of world class submarines across multiple programmes; this role is very varied due to the nature of the tasks and the possibility of self-development.
Your main responsibilities as a Supply Chain Senior Co-Ordinator will involve:
Producing, analysing and coordinating information to support Logistics processes. Utilising data to identify, act upon and recommend improvements on Logistics activities.
Continually reviewing and improving processes using lean tools and techniques.
Managing Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) in order to continuously drive and increase performance.
Co-ordinating project plans, ensuring the plans are accurate and updated on a regular basis
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Providing Supervisory support of a team as required
Developing and coaching new employees
Working collaboratively across the functions in order to resolve problems and achieve high standards of performance (and in supporting the Team Leader)
Adhering to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People principles
Your skills and qualifications:
Experience of Project & Schedule Management
Good Communicator and a high level of presentation skills
Advanced IT skills (Microsoft, SAP)
Ability to deal with internal/external stakeholders across multiple levels and functions
Functional Knowledge of the transport/freight industry
Understanding of the working time directive for driving and duty hours.
Experience with Inventory Control using an ERP/MRP system
