A fantastic opportunity is available for a Shift Engineer to join our Derby Maintenance team.
This role is responsible for a combination of planned/reactive maintenance and technical challenges to ensure maximum line efficiency with accountability and ownership to deliver the line KPIs through a collaborative approach with key production personnel. Capable of leading from the front within a team ensuring the efficient running, primarily, of a continuous packing/production line, manufacturing and packing high quality products, packaged and prepared for delivery in accordance with customer service requirements.
It involves working in and being responsible for ensuring a safe working manufacturing environment; protective clothing policies, health and safety and hygiene procedures need to be followed.
Working a Continental Shift Pattern, this role requires an individual with the ability to provide high level engineering technical expertise within a specific area to maximise the productivity and achievement of targets of the team/line/plant, in a high speed production environment.
Trained Engineer to a minimum craft level; ONC, HND Level, multiskilled preferred
Ownership of line performance issues through collaboration with key line operators.
Conduct, lead and develop troubleshooting, maintenance and CI activities
Utilise planned downtime effectively to achieve Maintenance daily tasks and Line Improvements.
Drive changeover activity, focus on improving and delivering consistency on start up
Support the technical training, development of key line operators (TCA) to enable engineering and operational efficiency.
Share expertise, advice, technical support, to improve shift engineering within own Shift and oncoming shifts through effective and accurate handovers.
Ensure Quality and Health and Safety KPI targets are consistently achieved as a minimum
Good IT Skills.
