We have a great opportunity in the Quality team; we are looking for a SupplierQualityAssurance Manager to join our Dalston team in Cumbria to support in our production of safe, compliant and first time right products.
Nestlé Dalston Factory in Cumbria is the European Centre for cappuccino and creamers producing a range of beverage products. These are produced through a highly automated PLC controlled process plant and automated filling and packing lines. It is continually developing and expanding leading brands such as Nescafé Frothy Coffee, Azera, Aero Hot Chocolate and Coffeemate.
A day in the life of...
As the Supplier Quality Assurance Manager, you will report directly into the Factory Quality Manager to ensure the appropriate, effective and timely implementation of Nestlé and ISO requirements and procedures for the control of all inbound materials for the site including raw materials, packaging, inter factory supplies and IMS imports.
Other Key day-to-day activities will be:
Supporting supply chain with supplier performance reviews and improvement initiatives.
Maintaining the Quality Assurance Management system in accordance with ISO requirements.
Identifying of non-compliances to procedure and non-conforming inbound products, producing corrective and preventive actions on the back of investigation.
Conduct supplier quality assurance audits/liaison visits with suppliers to support in managing and preventing quality incidents.
Track and interpret complaints related to inbound supplies and identify improvement opportunities.
Maintain Dalston’s allergen matrix and associated documentation and controls.
Promote quality awareness and the commitment to quality across the factory.
Work with the Quality Manager in reviewing and planning quality improvement across the factory.
Support activities to achieve compliance with the Nestlé Quality Management System and other applicable standards.
What Will Make You Successful?
We are looking for a self-driven, proactive and enthusiastic person who has experience in a similar quality environment to join the team.
Other key attributes will include:
Educated to degree level in a Science based subject or equivalent.
Knowledge of a factory manufacturing process, materials and products would be advantageous.
Knowledge of ISO systems.
Auditing, both internal and external experience is preferable.
Working knowledge of HACCP would be beneficial.
Ideally, you will have experience working within environment committed to Continuous Improvement and Continuous Excellence techniques and you will need to have a problem solving mind-set.
Be able to establish networks with peers and suppliers is key.
