Abbott has six manufacturing facilities located in Clonmel, Cootehill, Donegal, Longford and Sligo and a third party manufacturing management operation in Sligo. It has commercial and support operations in Dublin and shared services in Dublin and Westport. Abbott serves the Irish market with a diverse range of health care products including diagnostics, medical devices, nutritionals and branded generic pharmaceuticals. Abbott has been operating in Ireland since 1946.
Abbott Diagnostics Division (ADD) Longford
Abbott established the first diagnostics manufacturing facility in Sligo in 1994 to manufacture blood-screening products and reagents. In 2004, Abbott Diagnostics operations in Ireland expanded with the opening of a second facility in Longford. The plant was first occupied in December 2004. Manufacturing commenced in March of the following year and the first product (Architect TSH) was launched in December of 2005. The Longford facility plays a key role in helping Abbott to meet the increasing global demand for diagnostic testing in areas such as infectious disease, cancer, thyroid and cardiovascular diseases.
We currently currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Analyst who will partner & support all site functions, Strategic Programs & projects through provision of insightful, innovative, transparent & meaningful analytics.
Main responsibilities include:
Maintain ETMS TO DO LIST.
Conduct business in a manner that will protect human health, safety and the environment by complying with all applicable EHS laws, as well at the Abbott Global and Technical standards.
Ensure external and internal customer focus.
Maintain a high level of Product knowledge.
Manage and drive the implementation & development of Class A IBP/P&C for the Site.
Identify areas of Continuous Improvement within the Total Supply Chain to reduce cost.
Implement and drive improvement in KPI’s such as Order Fill rate, Stock availability, Router Compliance, Inventory Accuracy, Distressed.
Ensure effective management of Work Centers, Routings and Related Times in the Inventory Control System.
Ensure effective management and utilization of the MRP system.
Develop strong working relationships with each functional area.
Possess the ability to develop Score Cards across areas.
Devise, develop & implement innovative, sustainable, user friendly solutions to support the business.
Provide a Financial understanding of the business environment.
Ability to interact with Senior Management.
Liaise with Divisional Supply Chain Teams throughout the organization in an effort to develop skills and harvest further savings within the AIDD Longford Supply Chain area.
Ensure compliance to applicable quality requirements and external regulatory requirements.
What you'll need:
A relevant third level qualification, preferably a degree and/ or APICs or IIPMM qualification as this qualification provides a good foundation for this job function.
and / or
5 years experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment (preference regulated environment) as this provides a good foundation for this job function.
