As Supply Chain Coordinator you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operational tasks for our key supplier. This will involve supplier relationship management, daily order planning and placement, determining and setting up new and substitution lines, managing day to day issues such as out of stock lines and delivery failures. Using various methods to communicate the operational supply issues to relevant stakeholders.
Liaising with the Supply Chain team to understand the product requirements across all service centres. You will be accountable for monitoring actions driven by product supply and service level reports to ensure continuity of supply. The range management of new lines and the exiting of the old lines and planning the product availabilities for major promotions and events will be integral to the role. You will always look to ensure products are made available through the most appropriate routes to market. Pro-actively managing supply issues to support the wider team and actively communicating and contributing to ensure all stakeholders are engaged and informed at all times.
The ideal candidate will preferably have experience in supply chain/buying in either retail, FMCG or Foodservice. A working knowledge of end to end supply chain within a retailer, foodservice or FMCG organisation is important. As is excellent numeracy skills, well organised and a logical thinker and good communication skills.
We are looking for someone who has the ability to work cross functionally. Who has a high level of self-motivation and is customer focused, taking a pride in delivering superior service. Must have excellent commercial acumen with a good business and commercial judgement. Will need the ability to work under pressure and be flexible and adaptable in approach to the role. It is a prerequisite to have excellent written and verbal communication with good excel & general PC skills.
