About Our Client
Automotive global supplier
Maintain the SAP system requirements internally and act as a link with the remote SAP team.
To act as a key player in the integrity of the information in the company's computer system.
Ability to respond to system failures, both on site and remotely, and to communicate any requirements or shortfalls in the processes to the relevant stakeholders.
To generate regular reports, maintain tracking data and support the logistics team with data interpretation and presentation where necessary.
Ability to work on other necessary supply chain projects as and when they arise.
An ability to provide cover for all other members of the supply chain and mod control function when needed.
The Successful Applicant
A candidate with a good knowledge of logistics operations processes.
Possess a good knowledge of computer systems notably, SAP and Microsoft Excel with macros a significant part of the current operation.
An ability to quickly learn the company and division computer systems is essential.
Must be a good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
It is essential that candidates have the ability to manage and deal with change in the ever-decreasing timescales needed to satisfy new product launches in today's automotive environment.
Additionally, candidates must be resilient and be able to remain professional in order to meet extremely tight deadlines.
Automotive background would be desirable
The suitable applicant must possess an ability to evolve and adapt to the needs of changing projects as they arise, whilst being proactive to suggest improvements to the current systems in operation.
The suitable candidate would ideally be Six Sigma green belt trained and willing to learn other lean manufacturing techniques if not already conversant with these methodologies.
