Would you like to play a key role in logistic for our Submarines Business? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Supply Chain Co-ordinator at our site in Barrow.
As a Senior Supply Chain Co-ordinator, you will be working with a dedicated logistics team, ensuring all inventory is received, checked, stored and maintained and subsequently pack or kitted and transported to its point of use. The achievement of objectives and to demonstrate well managed programme activity.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop a combination of skills along with significant opportunities within Logistics and the wider organisation.
Your main responsibilities as a Job Title will involve:
Co-Ordinate the Kitview process for the Material Management Logistics team
Produce, analyse and coordinate information to support Kitview Logistics processes. Utilise data to identify, act upon and recommend improvements on Logistics activities.
Continually review and improve processes using lean tools and techniques.
Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) in order to continuously drive and increase performance.
Co-ordinating project plans, ensuring the plans are accurate and updated on a regular basis
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Accountable for adhering to specific processes
Prioritise personal and disseminate workloads accordingly
Provide Supervisory support of a team as required
Develop and coach new employees
Work collaboratively across the functions in order to resolve problems and achieve high standards of performance (and in supporting the Team Leader)
Adhere to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People principles
Familiarisation with all customer requirements within each relevant technical area
Support the delivery of departmental objectives, continuous improvement processes, review and implementation
Support the delivery of operational targets
Your skills and qualifications:
Tradel Background (Mechanical, Pipe fitting, Steel worker or Sheet Metal)
Good Communicator and a high level of presentation skills
Must be able to understand Engineering drawings
Able to deal with internal/external stakeholders across multiple levels and functions
Advanced IT skills (Microsoft & SAP)

Understand the working time directive for driving and duty hours.
Inventory Control using an ERP/MRP system
