Overview of the role:
Defining the sourcing strategy and working at a global level with other parts of JCB In securing and delivering leveraged cost savings. These are to be measured on a "full cost" basis and so taking into account associated transport and storage charges.
The position will head up and direct both the Purchasing and Inventory Teams and work on securing a sustainable and robust supplier base capable of supporting further JCB's growth targets.
Your Responsibilities as a Supply Chain Manager
The role will be a feed into the warehouse distribution strategy with a dedicated supply chain team identifying and implementing changes to the routings of inbound deliveries to alternative warehouses and defining and implementing a warehouse distribution strategy to support planned levels of growth.
CIPS qualifications in purchasing would be a distinct advantage as would a working knowledge of both SAP and Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru software..
We would be looking for an individual with up to 10 years or more in a Supply Chain position demonstrating excellent leadership qualities with experience in delivering improved supply chain efficiency, visibility and combined with improved inventory turns and significant material cost savings.
Proven professional that is a strong leader and good coaching and mentoring skills to develop their team with a drive for own further personal development.
